Writing Sample
Freshly Inked is a renowned tattoo lifestyle magazine. I wrote several articles and conducted interviews with internationally known industry artists for the July 2015 publication. The June/July publication reached an audience of 185,000 monthly readers. All contributed interviews are between pages 16–82 and short feature stories are on pages 86, 88, 92, and 94.
Image Research
The title page of each textbook unit includes an eye-catching illustration, painting, or photograph in adherence to brand guidelines and requirements from lead editors and executive leadership. After various consultations with course editors, I conducted research, negotiated license agreements, and procured hi-res files from various stock agencies, photographers, museums, and individual rights holders.
Commissioned Illustrations
These illustrations accompanied various poems and literary texts across seven publications. I onboarded illustrators and commissioned artwork to accompany literary excerpts from concept to completion. I wrote creative briefs, created schedules, and provided Illustrators with feedback in the form of sketches and annotations.
Textbook Covers
The following book covers mirror key concepts and skills within each Pre-AP course. I created multiple book cover mockups using Adobe Photoshop and InDesign and presented them to members of the branding, marketing, product, and editioral teams.
